A BI Developer vacancy is currently available working for a reputable Lloyd’s Market Insurance company.

Following delivery of a new cloud-based data warehouse and BI reporting capability, a new Data Management team is being established to provide an ongoing data management capability. 

The person must be comfortable working with the Business  as well as being a competent user with at least one of these listed tools and programmes: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview and Visual Studio / SQL Server Data Tools . 

Insurance domain knowledge is a significant value add. The Data Management function also encapsulates data quality (DQ), master data management (MDM) and data governance (DG). Knowledge and experience in these areas is desirable.

The role is based in the City of London and will be a hybrid home/office working model.

Competencies/Critical Skills:

Must have BI experience, with strong knowledge of the tool, architecture and features with solid experience in delivery.

O Experience with paginated and dashboard styles

O Expert working with the DAX language

O Keeps up to date with the latest developments

O Aware of the integration with the rest of the Microsoft eco-system
 

Must be data competent and possess a capability to understand data models and interrogate data.

O Expert proficiency working with the SQL query language

O Used to working with dimension models / star-schemas

Must be familiar and used to working with Microsoft Azure based solutions including SQL Server.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of relationship management.
• Must be able to produce high quality documentation
• Must be used to working within robust SDLC frameworks and tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git)
• Should have insurance domain experience.
• Knowledge of DQPro and/or Ataccama Reference Data Manager (RDM) desirable.
