A leading Reinsurance company is recruiting for a Head of Financial Operations due to an upcoming retirement.
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Financial Operations leads the accounting and operational processes for the company. You will manage the Financial Operations team to efficiently deliver the client accounting and financial close processes.
You will work closely with the Financial Accounting and Actuarial teams to deliver effective financial reporting and performance management information for the treaties and portfolios. You will incorporate your knowledge of process redesign and implementation, ensuring existing deliverables are met whilst investing in business transformation to deliver the future operating model.
You will develop and execute the Operational Excellence strategy to instil a culture of continuous improvement. As a natural problem solver, you will be a key contact for departmental, Branch and Group operational enhancements.
Suitable applicants will be qualified accountants capable of leading and developing high performance teams, designing and implementing operational change and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
As an experienced accountant you will have strong knowledge of IFRS, experience of managing teams delivering financial operational processes, financial process and control design and implementation plus experience working with enterprise wide operational / data management systems.
Experience gained working in an insurance / reinsurance business an advantage but not essential.
