Our client, a City based Lloyd's Managing Agency, have a new opening for a Senior Liability Claims Adjuster. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling predominantly UK /ROI high value Employers Liability, Public Liability & Products Liability claims.

  • Handling claims promptly from notification through to negotiated / mediated settlement or trial.

  • Assessing policy coverage.

  • Assisting with the management and supervision of various TPAs, lawyers and loss adjusters.

  • Attending internal / external claims meetings

  • Working closely with underwriters, policyholders, brokers and claims team in London.

  • Contributing to the development of, and management of the claims processes / internal manuals / internal and external reporting requirements. 

  • Assisting with compliance with all relevant UK and international regulations and procedures with emphasis on the Lloyd's environment.

  • Production of and circulation of Large Loss Reports per reporting requirements.

  • Corresponding / discussing / meeting with reinsurers related to highest value cases.  

 

Skills and Experience Specification:

 

Essential:

  • Previous direct experience of handling UK liability (EL/PL) claims from notification to resolution.  

  • A good working knowledge of UK case law, statute and regulation relative to liability claims; and to insurance law.

  • Articulate and confident.

  • A high standard of written English; and numeracy.
