Our City based client have a new opening for a Claims Operations Technician. This role would suit a claims candidate with a good knowledge of the reinsurance and insurance markets, with a particular focus on the Lloyd’s market.
Duties and Responsibilities
To assist the claims and reinsurance department to deliver a proactive and flexible service by providing relevant and appropriate support to the team, ensuring best practice and compliance with company procedures.
Ensuring that monthly claims data for owned and managed clients is accurate and complete; gather and record KPIs for claim monitoring and reporting purposes; track claims payments and float amounts; assist in the production and update of claims processes and procedures; support reinsurance activities as and when required; assist with strategic planning for owned clients and support new business initiatives.
Ensure monthly claims bordereaux are complete and accurate, update in-house system(s) as required.
Provide administrative support to the Claims Adjusters.
Liaise with brokers and reinsurers on claims queries and static claims.
Track claims payments and float amounts and work closely with Finance on bank reconciliations.
Maintain claims documents repository.
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring that all resulting recommendations or remediation are documented and implemented in a timely manner.
