A dynamic and forward thinking Insurance Company are looking to hire a broad Data Specialist to sit within the Data Culture team to assist in the formation and implementation of the right data culture infrastructure
Driven by data, the business has adopted a culture of small, highly skilled teams building the core intellectual property while all operational needs are met with SaaS or outsourced providers.
Key to our success will be the correct and agile management, exploitation and modelling of our complex data.
The overall goal of the Data Culture team is to help the business make better business decisions through better understood, more trustworthy and reliable data.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with modern technologies, applying data principles and standards, metadata management and documentation, and liaising with technical teams to understand and document; business domain models, reference data, data schemas and transformations.
Experience:
- Experience in data catalogue/metadata management - preferably through software solutions
- Technical experience working with metadata management / Data Quality tools ( Ataccama, Collibra, Informatica)
- Experience with reference data capture and management
- Hands-on experience on querying and extracting data from SQL, Snowflake and APIs
- Good data quality or similar level data analysis experience required
- Strong data mapping
- Good understanding of data architecture and data modelling
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- London Market insurance experience
