Position: Underwriting Assistant (Treaty Reinsurance)
Salary: Up to £40,000/annum DOE
Location: City of London
Hybrid: Flexible!
A great opportunity to join a Lloyd's Reinsurer as an Underwriting Assistant with the idea of working your way up. The role has come about due to the company continuing to grow their London office. The position sits in Treaty Re-insurance however will be predominantly supporting Marine/Energy.
Responsibilities include:
- Logging of new business and renewal submissions
- Input bound policies and premium information into the company’s underwriting/accounting system
- Establish and maintain broker contact lists and follow-up with brokers for outstanding documentation and premiums
- Assist with the review and issuance of policy documentation
- Assist the Underwriters with the preparation of monthly reports as required
- Assist Underwriters with ad hoc projects
- Calculate and book premium and final adjustments
