Working for a leading Global Reinsurance specialist, the Reinsurance Operations Manager leads the operational and administrative processes for reinsurance treaties in the UK Life Branch.

• You will manage the Reinsurance Operations team to deliver efficiently the Branch’s client accounting requirements.
• You will work closely with the Financial Accounting and Actuarial teams to deliver effective financial reporting and performance management information for our treaties and portfolios.
• You will be responsible for the provision of high-quality risk data to our actuarial and data functions in support of our data analytics objectives.
• You will incorporate your knowledge of process redesign and implementation, investing in business transformation to deliver our future operating model, whilst maintaining core department deliverables.
• You will support the Head of Financial Operations to develop and execute the Operational Excellence strategy to instill a culture of continuous improvement. As a natural problem solver, you will be a key contact for departmental, Branch and Group operational enhancements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Embed a high performing culture in the Reinsurance Operations team, steering the team vision, coaching and developing staff, managing performance.
• Support the Head of Financial Operations to develop and execute the Branch’s strategy for operational improvement to optimise effectiveness of core business processes and client data management.
• Lead the on-boarding of reinsurance arrangements into appropriate business processes to ensure accounts and underlying risk data are submitted in line with contractual terms and conditions, regulatory requirements and internal business requirements.

Experience and Technical Skills:

• Extensive experience in insurance or reinsurance operations
• Management of teams delivering operations processes
• Management of project activities to deliver business efficiencies
