Job title: Compliance Analyst

Salary: £45,000

Location: London

A major Insurance Company is looking for a Compliance Analyst to join their growing team. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a few years’ experience from a compliance, risk or regulator background.

You do not need to be a fully rounded Compliance professional but someone who is keen to learn and grow within the Compliance function.

Main Responsibilities:

• To assess sanctions alerts and resolve potential sanctions matches
• Conduct due diligence on potential matches to sanctioned individuals or entities
• Perform reviews of sanctions related alerts and conduct outreach to appropriate stakeholders if required
• Maintain adequate and organised evidence supporting review and investigation outcomes
• Escalate true sanctions matches to the Sanctions Compliance team for guidance and support
• Assist with other sanctions related initiatives as needed
• Provide support in identifying relevant new or changed compliance risks and regulatory requirements for example, by conducting regulatory horizon scanning

Person Specification:

• Compliance administration experience whilst working within a regulated environment
• General understanding of sanctions regimes and a willingness to research the topic
• Proficiency with World-Check One or similar software
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent IT skills
