A specialist digitally minded Lloyd's Syndicate is currently recruiting for a Senior Actuarial Portfolio Analyst to join the Underwriting team in the London team.
- To work closely with the Portfolio Manager to proactively drive improved underwriting performance via the use of analytics and propose actions on all portfolios that the business writes with the objective of enhancing the balance, quality and mix of business.
- To assist in developing the level of analytical sophistication provided to the business to shape & build the Portfolio Underwriting Toolkit of the future including processes, governance, management information etc.
Required skills and experience
- Sound commercial general insurance Lloyd’s/company market experience
- Sound analytic skills and data manipulation: part-qualified actuary OR significant experience in technical underwriting
- SQL and/or Python coding experience preferred, minimum strong excel skills
