Our client, a rapidly growing legacy acquirer, have a newly created opportunity for a Senior Claims Manager. They are looking for an exceptional candidate with extensive claims experience in UK, Europe and Lloyd’s that can manage and lead a team and that will be in charge of the claims Due Diligence for UK/Europe and Lloyd’s transactions.

The successful candidate will have in-depth claims knowledge and strong data analysis skills. The ideal candidate will bring substantial assets to the Due Diligence process, such as a strategic perspective, a tailored approach, deep expertise, and fast, results-oriented process. The candidate will identity areas of risk and value during the due diligence process and will have a proactive as well as a creative and innovative approach.


Duties and Responsibilities 

Technical due diligence for M&A and RITCs for all the new UK/European/Lloyd’s opportunities, using a combination of statistical and judgement-based methods to sample and analyse unexpired and expired exposure. 
Very strong understanding of commercial and economic drivers of run-off.
Act as lead stakeholder for the Claims Due Diligence and facilitate the link between the technical discussions and claims operations throughout the claims DD process.
Identify and utilise existing skillset within the Technical Claims team to assist in the DD process where available
Prepare for site visits, conduct site visits and analysis, draft and share initial assessment and then refine evaluations if needed.


Experience Required

Good all-round claims experience in a number of classes in UK and Europe.  Experience in Lloyd’s claims management/handling.
Excellent data analysis skills including an ability to analyse varying datasets quickly
Excellent report writing skills
Strong work ethic and ability to take own initiative.
Commercial acumen and an ability to identify areas of risk and value
