An opportunity for an Account Executive Downstream energy has become available at a leading and growing Brokers in London.

As the Account Executive Downstream Energy you will have London or International market experience working with international insurers and private/national downstream energy companies.

Your knowledge and skills need to include sector specific risks and insurance products/solutions, slip drafting, risk analysis and negotiation as in this role you will be advising clients on their insurance and negotiating and placing contracts of insurance that meet the client needs.

Quoting, Placement and Post Contract Alterations

• Analyse and provide advice on risk and insurance issues and structure appropriate coverage
• Placing structure is appropriate to the insured’s operations; exposure and risk transfer goals
• Market presentations secure best possible terms for the client, with full material disclosure
• Negotiates and obtains the most appropriate carrier, coverage and price for the clients’ requirements
• Resolves subjectivities and warranties in accordance with client/insurer instructions to secure underwriters’ participation
• Negotiates agreement to post-placement changes, e.g. by contract endorsement.

Market Relationships

• Develops and maintains Market Relationships to permit the widest placing opportunities.

Management Information

• Produce and analyse premium/brokerage/claims/renewal and other statistics as may be required by line manager.

Client Management
• Identifies and manages client requirements in accordance with the terms of appointment
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships
• Achieves a high rate of client retention through well-planned and executed account renewal management
• Ensures there are sufficient resources to meet client day-to-day demands and escalates servicing issues to divisional management as necessary
• Ensure that the standards of Client Service Charter are met at all times
• No justified client complaints over provision of service Supervisory Responsibility:                                                   
• Maintains thorough and timely records of market negotiations, presentations and communications with insurers and with clients in accordance with Internal Procedures and informs clients and/or colleagues of any developments.                                                        • Ensure that correspondence, documentation, statistic etc. are retained on paper and/or electronic files in accordance with BPM and divisional procedures to demonstrate a complete audit trail. Compliance/Corporate Governance                                                   • Legal, market, regulatory and Best Practice Manual requirements are met in all aspects of business acquisition, placing, claims and servicing
• High technical standards are maintained to achieve quality, minimal rework and minimal E & O exposure                           
• Maintain confidentiality in systems and procedures                 
• Financial & document checks and subsequent approval process is handled in accordance with Client's Authorised Signatory List   
• Review files to ensure that correspondence, documents, statistics etc. are retained on file in accordance with Best Practice Manual/divisional procedures providing a complete audit trail            • Supports the introduction of new processes in response to regulation change                                                                             
• Identifies and reports suspicious financial circumstances or transactions directly to Money Laundering Reporting Officer General • At all times behave in a way that upholds and promotes the good name and reputation                                                                             • Deal honestly and fairly with colleagues, clients, and others within the insurance profession                                                                     • Take responsibility for own learning and development. Keep up-to-date with best practice and legal developments relating to your own field of expertise. To meet all external and internal training requirements

Desirable Experience: London or international market experience preferably in broking along with account executive experience working with international insurers and private/national downstream energy companies.
