A leading international specialty insurance business is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of the business within Europe.
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the successful applicant will manage the monthly close timetable and liaise with US controllership teams to ensure timely close of the reporting periods, prepare and provide information for month-end journal entries, prepare and provide supporting documentation for monthly balance sheet reconciliations, prepare local recharges, cross border recharges and validate allocations and other intercompany transactions initiated by the US on a monthly basis, prepare the analysis of monthly and quarterly UK GAAP results by legal entity, prepare and review various regulatory reporting and ensure all relevant entities are compliant, including RMARs, preparation and review of financial statements for all legal entities, support the design and implementation of new processes and implement controls required to ensure compliance with future UK SoX and liaise and manage the finance outsource providers to ensure accounting records are up to date.
Applicants will ideally be qualified accountants with at least 5 years’ experience gained within a similar role, have strong analytical skills, advanced excel skills and be keen to make a difference within a growing organisation.
