A new and rapidly growing London market insurance business is currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to strengthen its team.
Reporting to one of the Senior Analysts, the successful applicant will support the finance function through both BAU financial processes and wider strategic initiatives, adding value across the organisation and aid evidence based decision making.
This will include (but not limited to) Planning and reforecasting over short, medium, and longer-term horizons, scenario modelling of different eventualities, regular reporting of financial performance to senior stakeholders and non-Finance members, analysing the core components of P&L from top line premium through to the underwriting result, investment return and other non-technical account items, analysing the core components of the balance sheet and segmental analysis for reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a very analytically focused finance and accountancy individual who is looking to progress their career more down the Analyst route.
Suitable applicants are likely to be part or newly qualified accountants with financial modelling capability, an understanding of the main elements of a P&L, experience of business performance management e.g. planning, forecasting, reporting etc. and possess strong excel skills.
