A market leading specialty insurance group operating in the Lloyd’s market is seeking an insurance finance professional to join them as a Technical Accountant.
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will have responsibility for maintaining all underwriting related financial accounts and assisting the Financial Controller with the production of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
This will include (but not limited to) ensuring all inwards reinsurance contracts are entered onto the underwriting system correctly, maintain the Special Feature Contracts spreadsheets, maintain the reinstatement premium spreadsheets with catastrophe payments from daily Xchanging emails, update proportional treaty spreadsheet to show accounts received, produce and distribute the monthly MI and Claims packs, production of quarterly credit control report and chasing outstanding balances as necessary, prepare manual adjustments file for premiums, claims and commissions, reconciliation of cash against Xchanging premium and claim transactions and provide other ad hoc assistance to the Financial Controller whenever required.
Suitable applicants must have relevant experience gained within an insurance business (ideally a Lloyd’s syndicate although this is not essential), possess strong excel skills and have a desire to innovate processes and adopt new technologies.
