A London market insurance business is recruiting for a Financial Controller for its reinsurance arm.
Reporting to the Reinsurance Finance Director the successful applicant will be responsible for the analysis of the quarterly technical and non-technical result and providing front line control and insight in the performance of the Reinsurance division.
Financial analysis of the technical result will be provided by line of business and year of account on both a gross and net of reinsurance basis.
You will coordinate with all the group finance functions and play a leading role in all finance related initiatives and projects for the Reinsurance business.
Applicants must be qualified accountants with at least 5 years senior accounting, controlling, and reporting experience gained within the insurance industry (any exposure to a reinsurance business would be ideal) with in-depth knowledge of insurance technical accounting procedures and financial reporting practices, possess strong analytical skills and be able to demonstrate success in developing and implementing key finance systems and processes.
