Our London based client have a new opportunity for an experienced Claims Adjuster to handle a portfolio of complex claims, within their Professional Lines team. Territories will include the UK and Europe. Applicants will require previous Professional Indemnity claims handling experience. This will be a hybrid role, with lots of scope to work remotely.
Duties & Responsibilities
Handling Professional Indemnity/D&O claims to a high standard, including overall assessment of losses and reserves, and negotiation with counterparties to achieve timely settlements
Managing large, complex and disputed claims
Identifying and reporting new trends or changes in the behaviour of a claims portfolio
Managing complaint cases within regulatory guidelines
Working with TPAs to provide assistance with referrals and cases over their authority limits
Managing external service providers, ensuring they are acting in our best interests
Identifying and delivering opportunities for claims savings, both on an individual claims and strategic basis
Identification and execution of commutation and buy back opportunities, including the negotiation of deals with counterparties
Providing training, technical support and mentoring to less experienced members of the team.
