A leading Lloyd's Market Insurance company is currently recruiting for a Data Protection Manager (12 Month FTC) to join their London business.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for data protection systems, governance, oversight and controls, to reduce data protection risk and promote compliance throughout the business.
MAIN DUTIES
- Advising the business on data protection issues and best practice.
- Managing internal data protection processes including Data Protection Impact Assessments, and data protection adequacy for international transfers.
- Responding to data subject rights requests, including data subject access requests.
- Managing data breach reports and notifications to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
- Maintaining internal data protection records including breach and data subject rights requests logs.
- Reviewing data protection documentation including Data Protection Policy, Document Retention Policy and privacy notices.
- Managing internal control processes including data protection self-certifications
- Chairing the Data Protection Working Group: ensuring meetings are effective and well structured. Reporting to the Data Protection Committee as required.
- Providing data protection training to relevant business departments.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Thorough knowledge of UK data protection legislation and regulatory expectations.
- Experience of managing processes to mitigate data protection risk and promote compliance.
- Insurance industry experience.
