A London market underwriting business is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to strengthen its finance team with this newly created position.
Primarily focusing on Regulatory Reporting for the European entities, the Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting within Regulatory Reporting. You will also have close interaction across multiple areas of the business and work with the wider Global Finance Team to add value across relevant teams.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to) assisting in the preparation of accurate financial reporting, both for internal and external purposes following required GAAP and regulatory standards with specific focus on Lloyd’s regulatory submissions, solvency reporting and statutory financial statements, assisting with completing aspects of the monthly and/or quarterly close, liaising with internal and external auditors, assisting in the analysis of regional results for management and board reporting, supporting the regional annual budgeting process, contributing to project work and providing general assistance to the Finance Department and other teams as needed.
This role would ideally suit a recent accounting / finance (or similar) graduate who has had some relevant finance related work experience e.g. internship or work placement, is committed to developing a career in finance and studying towards a professional qualification.
