A London market underwriting business is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a newly created position within its finance team to support the financial operations of the business within Europe.
Key responsibilities within the role will be updating all multi-currency cashbooks within the international entities’ bank accounts, preparing cash journals, recording income received, processing of invoices and payment of invoices, updating monthly accruals and prepayment schedules for all the international entities, assisting with the preparation of monthly accruals and prepayment journals at month end, monthly balance sheet reconciliations across various entities for bank, accruals and prepayments and provide assistance for other ad-hoc reporting that may arise to ensure compliance with all business requirements.
Suitable applicants will need to have at least 2 years of all-round accounts experience including reconciliations and ledger management, possess strong excel skills, good analytical skills and ideally already be working towards an accountancy qualification e.g. AAT. Â
