A life insurance business based in the West End of London and within walking distance of 7 tube stations is recruiting for a Financial Accountant.
Reporting to the CFO the successful applicant will be expected to maintain the ledgers for all the companies in the group (Parent Co and four subsidiaries), prepare the monthly management accounts for the group, assist the CFO with the preparation of the necessary regulatory and statutory returns, assist the CFO with the preparation of the monthly Board packs and liaise with third parties (i.e. auditors / tax advisors) as required.
This is a broad role, with a wide remit and exposure to key stakeholders and senior C suite staff throughout the group. As the Financial Accountant you will be expected to be a confident professional with the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and contribute to the collaborative nature of this small, fast paced environment. You should be comfortable with working to deadlines and communicating at all levels across the business with both internal and external stakeholders.
Applicants must newly be qualified accountants, or be working towards a professional accountancy qualification with strong excel skills, strong analytical skills and some relevant financial accounting experience.
