I am currently working in partnership with a growing MGA looking to grow their Existing Business team with an experienced hire.
Job Purpose:
Manage and develop existing broker relationships with a strong focus on new business development and renewal retention, serving as a key point of contact to ensure excellent service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish new trading relationships and broker opportunities for Private Client (mid/high net worth insurance) by collaborating with Regional Directors and commercial BDMs.
- Operate primarily within a designated geographic area (North or South of England) while maintaining flexibility to engage with "out of area" connections.
- Serve as an escalation contact for broker partners to resolve issues and provide support.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports using a pre-defined format.
- Attend regular sales meetings in London.
- Organise joint meetings with brokers.
- Collaborate with the Regional Directors to develop and manage strategic plans.
- Work within a national team of Business Development Managers covering various regions of the UK.
- Provide support and partnership to the trading underwriters based in London.
- Note: This position has no direct reports or line management responsibilities.
