Senior Operations Analyst
A modern, technology-enabled hybrid insurance business are expanding and recruiting for a bright and ambitious candidate to join their Operations function
Role Purpose:
The Senior Operations Analyst will support the UK Operations Director in activities such as Bordereaux management, data analytics, database management, stakeholder liaison, claims analysis, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bordereaux ingestion, analysis, and management.
- Data management and analytics (Advanced Excel; SQL/Power BI advantageous).
- Database upload, interrogation, and management (Regulatory/Internal databases).
- Project management, including IT-related projects.
- Provision of financial data to key finance colleagues.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Quality Control (QC), and exception management.
- Liaison with third parties (Brokers, MGAs, Claims Handling Agents), on-boarding, and governance.
- Understanding of taxes, levies, and regulatory body requirements (FCA, PRA, etc.).
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 3 years in an insurance company's finance or operations department (UK and European experience beneficial).
- Understanding of Coverholder/MGA arrangements.
- Essential experience in compliance/regulatory insurance requirements.
- CII qualifications (working towards or qualified) advantageous.
- Familiarity with insurance technology platforms/databases.
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI.
