Job Title: Senior Construction Broker – Erection All Risks (EAR) / Contractors All Risks (CAR)

Salary: £120,000+ Depending on experience

Overview:
Our client, a leading global insurance broker, is seeking a highly experienced Construction Broker specialising in the placement of Erection All Risks (EAR) and Contractors All Risks (CAR) risks into the Lloyd’s and London Markets. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual with deep market expertise and strong underwriter relationships to deliver tailored risk solutions across infrastructure, energy, and heavy industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the placement strategy and execution of complex global construction risks into the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets.

  • Partner closely with clients to understand their specific needs and develop innovative, cost-effective risk transfer solutions.

  • Maintain and grow strong business relationships with underwriters, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent client service and market access.

  • Drive differentiated product development and entrepreneurial approaches to help position the company as a leader in the construction risk space.

  • Support and contribute to targeted marketing strategies for new programmes and product offerings to maximise new business opportunities.

  • Ensure the accurate preparation and production of placement documentation, reports, and client presentations in line with regulatory and internal standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in placing EAR and CAR risks in the Lloyd’s and London markets.

  • Strong, established relationships with relevant underwriters and markets.

  • Demonstrated experience with complex international accounts, ideally within the infrastructure, energy, or heavy industry sectors.

  • Deep technical understanding of construction risks, coverage structures, and international insurance programmes.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • A proactive, client-first approach with a focus on delivery and innovation.
