Overview:
Our client, a leading global insurance broker, is seeking a highly experienced Construction Broker specialising in the placement of Erection All Risks (EAR) and Contractors All Risks (CAR) risks into the Lloyd’s and London Markets. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual with deep market expertise and strong underwriter relationships to deliver tailored risk solutions across infrastructure, energy, and heavy industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the placement strategy and execution of complex global construction risks into the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets.
Partner closely with clients to understand their specific needs and develop innovative, cost-effective risk transfer solutions.
Maintain and grow strong business relationships with underwriters, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent client service and market access.
Drive differentiated product development and entrepreneurial approaches to help position the company as a leader in the construction risk space.
Support and contribute to targeted marketing strategies for new programmes and product offerings to maximise new business opportunities.
Ensure the accurate preparation and production of placement documentation, reports, and client presentations in line with regulatory and internal standards.
Requirements:
Proven track record in placing EAR and CAR risks in the Lloyd’s and London markets.
Strong, established relationships with relevant underwriters and markets.
Demonstrated experience with complex international accounts, ideally within the infrastructure, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
Deep technical understanding of construction risks, coverage structures, and international insurance programmes.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, client-first approach with a focus on delivery and innovation.
