Assistant Underwriter – Property Treaty
A top-performing, globally respected reinsurer is looking to hire a motivated and ambitious Assistant Underwriter to join its high-performing Property Treaty & Retro team.
Location: City of London
Salary: £65,000–£75,000
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s most experienced underwriters in a collaborative, flat-structured environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the full underwriting lifecycle of the Property Treaty portfolio
- Working directly with the Head of Property Treaty and the wider team
- Building and nurturing broker and client relationships
- Reviewing contract wordings for compliance and maintaining clear underwriting documentation
- Gaining exposure to additional classes within the wider portfolio over time
What We’re Looking For:
- A self-starter with a genuine appetite to learn and develop
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Property Treaty
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
- A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
