Role Responsibilities:
  • Risk Framework: Develop and implement a robust risk management framework.
  • Risk Culture: Promote and embed an effective risk culture across the organisation.
  • Risk Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely risk reporting to regulatory bodies, the Board, and the public, ie ORSA.
  • Risk Register: Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring all risks are identified and managed.
  • Risk Appetite and Tolerance: Define and monitor the organisation's risk appetite and tolerance levels.
  • Internal Model: Oversee the internal model, ensuring it meets regulatory standards.
  • Stress and Scenario Testing: Conduct stress and scenario testing to assess potential risks.
  • Emerging Risk: Identify and manage emerging risks.
  • Operational Risk: Oversee operational risk management, including the management of outsourcing arrangements.
Skills and Experience:
  • Insurance Market Expertise: Extensive experience in risk management within the insurance sector.
  • Quantitative and Qualitative Skills: An understanding of both quantitative and qualitative aspects of risk.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience in dealing with regulators, C-Suite executives, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: A team player with experience in managing and mentoring individuals, either directly or indirectly.
