Job Title: International Construction - Broker Account Executive
Location: City of London
Salary: £80,000 per annum
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in office, remainder remote)
Responsibilities:
Assist in the placement process, including the gathering of information and preparation of underwriting submissions
Prepare documentation for existing customers related to renewals and mid-term adjustments, in partnership with account managers
Support Brokers in negotiating with insurers to obtain terms that accurately and effectively match client requirements
Follow up on quotations and provide general support to Brokers
Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately in internal systems
Handle insurer queries regarding customer policies
Assist with customer queries on existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes or new terms
Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and follow up on outstanding documentation
Handle account queries and credit control matters, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of any concerns
Manage personal workload effectively to maintain client relationships and ensure placements are completed to deadline
Support senior team members with the RFP process
Qualifications & Experience:
Working towards or holding a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII / Dip CII preferred)
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent (desirable)
Basic knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and wider industry), including insurance products, services, and legal principles
Prior insurance administration experience in a commercial setting (desirable)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Strong administrative and policy processing skills, with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with client and market dynamics within the insurance industry
Able to meet targets and deadlines with confidence
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to teamwork
Exceptional customer service orientation
Able to identify risks/issues and escalate appropriately
Excellent planning and analytical skills
Must be eligible to work in the UK
