Job Title: International Construction - Broker Account Executive
Location: City of London
Salary: £80,000 per annum
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in office, remainder remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the placement process, including the gathering of information and preparation of underwriting submissions

  • Prepare documentation for existing customers related to renewals and mid-term adjustments, in partnership with account managers

  • Support Brokers in negotiating with insurers to obtain terms that accurately and effectively match client requirements

  • Follow up on quotations and provide general support to Brokers

  • Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately in internal systems

  • Handle insurer queries regarding customer policies

  • Assist with customer queries on existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes or new terms

  • Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and follow up on outstanding documentation

  • Handle account queries and credit control matters, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of any concerns

  • Manage personal workload effectively to maintain client relationships and ensure placements are completed to deadline

  • Support senior team members with the RFP process

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Working towards or holding a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII / Dip CII preferred)

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent (desirable)

  • Basic knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and wider industry), including insurance products, services, and legal principles

  • Prior insurance administration experience in a commercial setting (desirable)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

  • Strong administrative and policy processing skills, with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with client and market dynamics within the insurance industry

  • Able to meet targets and deadlines with confidence

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to teamwork

  • Exceptional customer service orientation

  • Able to identify risks/issues and escalate appropriately

  • Excellent planning and analytical skills
