Commercial Underwriter – SME & Mid-Market
(Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + benefits
We’re working with a growing MGA in London seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their London office. This role focuses on existing business across SME and small mid-market risks, including Property, Liability, Package, and Combined products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite renewals and mid-term adjustments within authority
- Manage and retain a portfolio of SME/mid-market commercial business
- Maintain strong broker relationships and negotiate terms
- Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and processes
Requirements:
- Solid underwriting experience, ideally in SME/mid-market existing business
- Good knowledge of commercial products
- Strong broker-facing and communication skills
- CII qualifications (or working towards) preferred
