We are seeking a driven and experienced International Property Broker to join a dynamic and growing team specialising in large-scale, complex property risks across the US and North American markets. This is a client-facing broking role, supporting international placements into the London Market (Lloyd’s and Company), with a focus on delivering best-in-class service, risk solutions, and market strategy.
You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with retail partners and clients, structuring placement strategies, and navigating both open market and facility-based opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and place a portfolio of US and North American property risks into the London and international (re)insurance markets.
Design and execute placement strategies for complex and/or CAT-exposed accounts, including layered and shared & layered programs.
Lead renewal negotiations and placement activity with underwriters and internal stakeholders.
Build strong working relationships with overseas retail brokers, clients, and market counterparts.
Produce high-quality market documentation including slips, endorsements, and submissions in accordance with regulatory standards.
Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and capacity shifts across property classes.
Support senior colleagues on new business opportunities and provide technical guidance to junior team members when appropriate.
Proven experience as a property broker placing US or North American business into the London Market.
Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s and London Company market processes and underwriting appetites.
Experience structuring complex placements including CAT-exposed schedules and layered programs.
Confident communicator with the ability to represent the business in client and market meetings.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple placements simultaneously.
Understanding of global insurance regulation and compliance considerations.
ACII or progress towards professional qualifications is desirable.
