Job Title: Senior Delegated Authority Specialist

We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware Senior Delegated Authority Specialist to manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of delegated underwriting programmes globally. This role requires deep knowledge of MGA, coverholder, and binding authority arrangements, combined with excellent relationship management and risk assessment skills.
Key Responsibilities:Manage a global portfolio of delegated authority programmes, ensuring compliance with underwriting mandates, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical expertise and support to underwriters, brokers, and delegated partners on underwriting appetite, risk acceptance, and delegated authorities.
Lead due diligence, performance reviews, and risk assessments of delegated partners to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory standards.
Work closely with underwriting, compliance, claims, and operational teams to maintain strong governance and risk management frameworks across delegated authority portfolios.
Develop and implement delegated authority strategies to support business growth while managing risk and compliance.
Prepare detailed management information reports covering portfolio performance, risk exposures, and compliance metrics.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of delegated authority processes and systems.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in delegated authority or managing general agent roles within insurance broking or underwriting environments.
Strong technical understanding of delegated authority underwriting, compliance frameworks, and regulatory environments across multiple territories.
Experience working with global portfolios and knowledge of international insurance markets and delegated authority models.
Proven ability to assess risk, conduct due diligence, and manage delegated authority partners effectively.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with cross-functional, global teams.
Professional qualifications such as ACII or equivalent are preferred.
