Job Purpose:
An exciting role awaits an experienced Operations Manager. Design and embed operational processes, focusing on delivery and team management. Shape the role to build and optimise processes for organisational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Create, manage, and optimise processes for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Implement best practices to streamline workflows.
- Monitor KPIs for performance and improvement.
- Oversee direct reports and manage bordereaux.
- Conduct pre-bind policy checks and track contracts.
- Manage credit control and month-end close.
- Maintain systems like Eclipse and Lloyd's system access.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers and service providers.
- Ensure alignment on operational goals.
- Contribute to cover holder on-boarding.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on insurance regulations.
- Work with legal and compliance teams.
Team Management:
- Train and mentor direct reports.
- Build an operations team as needed.
- Optimise resources and reduce costs.
Risk Management:
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement risk management protocols.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare operational performance reports.
- Conduct data analysis for improvement.
- Ensure regulatory reports are completed and delivered on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in insurance operations management, preferably in Lloyd's market.
- Knowledge of Lloyd's processes.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with insurance technology systems.
