An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced International Property Broker to join a dynamic and growing wholesale broking house with a strong global presence. This is a role designed for a broker who is looking to step into a broader, more influential position - offering increased ownership, strategic involvement, and the ability to drive market relationships across multiple territories.
Key Responsibilities:Placement & Broking: Lead the placement of complex property risks into the London and international markets, working closely with underwriters and producing brokers.
Client Management: Serve as a key contact for overseas partners and clients, building long-term relationships and understanding diverse property portfolios and risk appetites.
Market Strategy: Contribute to and execute the placement strategy, ensuring competitive terms and innovative solutions are achieved for clients.
Documentation: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of market documentation including MRC slips, endorsements, and summaries of cover.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across classes to cross-sell and contribute to the broader growth of the business.
Mentoring: Act as a senior figure within the team, mentoring junior brokers and assisting with training and development initiatives where required.
Proven experience placing international property risks into the London market.
Strong technical knowledge of property insurance including CAT exposure, construction, and high-value asset classes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with established underwriter relationships.
Confidence in managing the full placement process from initial enquiry through to binding and servicing.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to take on more responsibility in a supportive and nimble environment.
Experience across any international territory (e.g., North America, Australasia, Caribbean, Asia, Europe, or Latin America) will be considered—territory flexibility is offered.
