My client is seeking a Contract Administrator to join a specialist team focused on professional indemnity insurance. The role involves reviewing contractual documentation for clients, identifying insurance-related issues, and managing a caseload of professional indemnity claims across a variety of professions. You’ll provide expert support, negotiate favourable outcomes, and ensure timely settlements while maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers, and insurers.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview contracts and advise clients on professional indemnity insurance issues.
Provide expert commentary and guidance during contract negotiations to achieve positive amendments to terms.
Negotiate with third parties on behalf of clients regarding insurance-related matters.
Manage a portfolio of claims, including complex and high-value cases, supporting clients through meetings, mediations, and trials.
Keep clients, brokers, and insurers updated on notifications and claims developments.
Accurately set up new notifications and claims on internal systems for tracking and compliance.
Ensure all work follows agreed processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Stay up to date with market dynamics and cycles to deliver work effectively and strategically.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
A collaborative team player, able to support junior colleagues.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Highly organised with good planning abilities and flexibility under tight deadlines.
Proactive and able to work independently while building strong relationships.
Graduate-level candidates, or those with experience in contract review and/or claims handling.
Experience working in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.
Ability to analyse complex policy coverage issues and advise clients effectively.
Understanding of insurance market operations and regulatory requirements.
A Levels (or equivalent) minimum desirable.
LLMIT (Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test) desirable.
Working towards or already attained ACII.
