Position: Senior Parametric Underwriter
Salary: £100,000 to £150,000 + package (experience dependent)
Location: City of London
This speciality insurer is growing their parametric underwriting team, seeking a driven and established (Senior) Underwriter with strong broker relationships wanting ownership and an organisation to support their growth.
You will design, price, and manage parametric insurance products that deliver fast, transparent protection for clients facing climate, catastrophe, or other event-driven risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and price parametric products in line with risk appetite and guidelines.
- Analyse data and indices to structure reliable trigger-based solutions.
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and actuarial teams to refine models.
- Build and maintain broker, client, and reinsurer relationships.
- Monitor portfolio performance and emerging risks.
Requirements:
- Experience in parametric underwriting.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in Excel, Python, R, or similar tools advantageous.
