A London market underwriting business is seeking a qualified accountant with at least five years’ insurance accounting experience to join them as a Financial Accountant on a 6-month fixed term contract basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful applicant will support the technical close process and the production of the monthly / quarterly technical results for each entity.
This will include producing accurate management and financial information in a timely manner ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102 and local reporting requirements, financial review of technical result including variance to plan and previous year, assist with regulatory reporting by providing necessary finance inputs, prepare a county by country analysis required for Group reporting, and dealing with audit related queries as they arise.
Applicants must be qualified accountants with previous technical close process experience gained within an insurance business, possess good analytical and MI reporting skills, be capable of working with internal/external reporting deadlines, and possess strong excel skills.
