I am working with a London Market insurance brokerage who are seeking an experienced Senior Producing Broker to lead the development, placement, and servicing of Cargo/Freight/Logistics risks across international markets. The successful candidate will leverage strong market relationships and technical expertise to drive new business growth while delivering high-quality broking strategies and client service.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Production
Develop and execute a growth strategy across international Freight, Logistics, and Cargo sectors.
Identify, approach, and secure new clients and intermediaries.
Build deep relationships with brokers, insurers, MGAs, and international partners.
Represent the firm at market meetings, industry events, and client presentations.
Broking & Placement
Lead the placement of complex Cargo and Freight/Logistics programmes into Lloyd’s and international company markets.
Design placement strategies, negotiate terms, and achieve optimal coverage, capacity, and pricing.
Prepare high-quality market presentations and submissions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, capacity trends, and underwriting appetites.
Client Management
Act as a senior point of contact for clients, providing technical guidance and strategic risk advice.
Review policies and documentation to ensure accuracy and client suitability.
Deliver renewal strategies aligned with client needs and market developments.
Work collaboratively with account handlers and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Technical & Compliance
Provide subject-matter expertise on Cargo, Stock Throughput, Warehouse Operator’s Liability, Freight Forwarders Liability, and Marine-related exposures.
Ensure all placements and client interactions meet regulatory and compliance standards.
Contribute to internal training, mentoring junior brokers, and sharing market intelligence.
Proven track record as a producing broker in Cargo, Freight/Logistics, Marine, or related lines.
Established relationships within Lloyd’s and/or global marine markets.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage complex, multinational programmes and deliver tailored risk solutions.
Commercially driven with the ability to generate sustainable new business.
Strong understanding of global cargo flows, supply-chain exposures, and sector trends.
