Our client is a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage, known for handling complex motor fleet and specialist risks for mid-market and corporate clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Motor Fleet Account Executive to manage and develop a portfolio of complex risks, delivering a high-touch, consultative service.
This role would suit an Account Executive who thrives on technical challenge, values strong insurer relationships, and enjoys acting as a trusted advisor to sophisticated clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of complex motor fleet accounts, including large fleets, multi-vehicle risks, and specialist or non-standard exposures
Act as the primary client contact, providing strategic advice on cover structure, risk management, and programme design
Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with insurers, utilising strong market relationships
Lead renewals from strategy through to placement, ensuring timely and effective delivery
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling broader commercial insurance products where appropriate
Work closely with internal account handlers, claims teams, and risk management specialists to deliver a seamless client experience
Support new business activity, including presentations, tenders, and insurer meetings
Maintain high standards of compliance, documentation, and regulatory adherence
Proven experience as an Account Executive handling motor fleet risks, ideally within the UK broker market
Strong technical knowledge of motor fleet insurance, including complex and non-standard risks
Comfortable managing large, sophisticated clients and multiple stakeholders
Confident negotiator with established insurer relationships
Commercially astute, with the ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
Professional, credible, and client-focused, with excellent communication skills
ACII qualified or working towards (desirable, not essential)
