I am working on behalf of a leading international specialty insurance broker to appoint a Senior Energy Broker into their well-established Energy team. The role focuses on Upstream and Downstream Energy business, placing complex international risks across the London and global insurance markets.
This is a senior, market-facing position within a highly regarded Energy platform, offering exposure to global clients, sophisticated placements, and a collaborative broking environment with strong underwriting relationships.
The RolePlacement of upstream and downstream Energy risks into the London and international insurance markets, including Lloyd’s
Handling complex, international Energy programmes for a global client base
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key underwriters and capacity providers
Advising clients on programme structure, coverage strategy, and market conditions
Supporting the growth of the Energy portfolio through new and existing client opportunities
Working closely with colleagues across international offices and specialty teams
Representing the business at market meetings and industry events
Significant experience broking Energy risks within the London or international market
Strong technical understanding of upstream and downstream Energy exposures
Established relationships with insurers and underwriting markets
Confident placing complex, high-value international programmes
Commercially astute with a strong client-focused approach
Professional qualifications (ACII or similar) beneficial but not essential
