Operational Risk and Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team in Leeds. This role will play a key part in overseeing operational risk, compliance, and governance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the department business plan in collaboration with the Head of Compliance.
Manage the risk review process, including quarterly reviews, risk committee meetings, and board reporting.
Maintain and monitor the ESG framework, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements.
Provide guidance on operational risk events and compliance breaches, ensuring regulatory adherence.
Oversee vendor management and provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and internal audits, producing management information for regulatory and board reporting.
Maintain the ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System and other relevant certification standards.
Candidate Profile
Demonstrated experience in risk management, governance, and controls.
Professional compliance qualification is desirable.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 frameworks and commercial awareness.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with practical interpretation of risk and regulatory requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Leadership and team management experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of decisions.
