Risk Analyst
Lloyd's and London Market Insurance
We are working with a well-established and respected London Market insurance business seeking a Risk Analyst to join their growing Risk function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in enterprise risk management within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working closely with the Head of People & Risk and the Chief Risk Officer, you will support the ongoing development of the Risk Management Framework and gradually take ownership of key risk processes. The role offers strong exposure across the business and genuine progression within a maturing risk function.
Key responsibilities will include:Supporting the maintenance and development of the enterprise risk register, working closely with risk owners across the business
Producing and analysing risk and control metrics for senior management and Board reporting
Assisting with core risk processes including ORSA coordination, Principles Attestation and IMVAL activity
Supporting horizon scanning and the identification of emerging risks
Contributing to the development and enhancement of risk policies, procedures and documentation
Engaging with stakeholders across the business to ensure risk and controls are effectively embedded
Representing the Risk function at internal meetings and forums
Supporting the production of risk reporting, with increasing ownership over time
This role offers broad exposure and the opportunity to build strong technical and commercial risk management experience within the London Market.
About YouWe are looking for a motivated and analytical individual with experience in financial services, ideally within the Lloyd’s or London Market insurance environment.
You may already be working in a Risk role or come from a Compliance, Audit, or Controls background and be looking to move into Risk.
You will ideally have:
Experience within financial services, ideally the London Market or Lloyd’s environment
Exposure to risk management, compliance or internal control frameworks (desirable but not essential)
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and identify trends
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
Professional qualifications such as IRM or CII are welcomed but not essential.
This is an ideal role for someone with around 3–5 years’ London Market experience looking to take the next step into a dedicated Risk position.
