Overview

A well-established and highly regarded Lloyd’s insurance broker is seeking to appoint an experienced Broker to join its growing team.

This opportunity would suit an individual with a strong Lloyd’s market background who is looking to join a respected independent brokerage environment, working across Non-Marine and Property Treaty Excess of Loss business.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and play a key role in supporting both new and existing business activities within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage new business and renewal enquiries.
  • Present risks and submissions to Lloyd’s and company market underwriters.
  • Process endorsements, policy amendments, and related documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with underwriters, agents, and clients.
  • Support senior brokers and directors across day-to-day broking activities.
  • Research market appetite, products, and placement options to secure the most suitable coverage and terms for clients.
  • Assist in the placement of complex reinsurance risks and negotiate terms where required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance relating to risk and coverage queries.
  • Prepare and process market documentation including slips, endorsements, and line slip declarations.
  • Assist with binding authority administration where applicable.
  • Support claims handling activities when required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA and internal compliance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and reporting documentation.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support across the team.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as required.
Candidate Profile Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Lloyd’s broking environment.
  • Experience handling Non-Marine and/or Property Treaty business preferred.
  • Good understanding of Lloyd’s market processes and documentation.
  • Progress toward CII qualifications would be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional and collaborative approach to client and market relationships.
  • Competent across Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
