A London market Lloyd’s underwriting business is recruiting for an Investment Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract basis to cover a maternity leave.
Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful applicant will carry out weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial investments reporting and analysis for use within the business.
This will include creating and posting journal entries related to financial investments into the general ledger, reporting of financial investment related outputs for Syndicate and insurance company reporting, preparation of monthly investment performance reports, production of quarterly Investment Board packs, analysis of hedging performance, and preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
Applicants must have at least three years’ investment reporting and accounting experience gained within a financial services environment. Any exposure to the insurance industry would be highly advantageous but not essential.
