Location: London
Salary: £75,000–£85,000 circa, depending on experience

We are working with an established insurance broker who are looking to appoint a Marine Hull & P&I Broker to join their team.

This is an opportunity for a driven broker with around five years’ experience across Marine Hull and P&I to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of the Marine market, alongside the ability to build relationships with clients, markets and key stakeholders.

• Manage and develop a portfolio of Marine Hull and P&I business.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and London Market insurers.
• Assist with the placement and broking of Marine Hull and P&I risks.
• Negotiate with underwriters to achieve suitable terms for clients.
• Handle new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Provide advice and support to clients throughout the insurance cycle.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure the smooth delivery of client requirements.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new business.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the wider Marine insurance market.

• Around 5 years’ experience within Marine insurance broking.
• Strong experience across Marine Hull and P&I.
• Confident dealing with clients and London Market insurers.
• Good technical understanding of Marine insurance and the London Market.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to developing business.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Exposure to other Marine lines or classes of business would be advantageous.
• Driven and ambitious, with a desire to progress within the Marine broking market.
