Overview
A Lloyd’s broker is looking for an experienced IBA Accounts professional to strengthen their Middle Office team. In this role, you’ll help maintain the integrity of our financial processes, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to the smooth running of the accounts function. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–5 years’ experience in IBA accounts to broaden their skills and impact.
What You’ll Do
- Process and allocate receipts, investigating and resolving related queries to ensure accuracy
- Prepare non-bureau payments, including claims, and input them into banking platforms
- Complete bank reconciliations to maintain precise financial records
- Handle bureau allocations and resolve associated queries efficiently
- Release de-linked transactions to the Bureau (initially for non-binder business)
- Monitor and update weekly ROEs (Reconciliation of Entries)
- Keep IBA policies and procedures current and aligned with best practices
- Support ongoing compliance and regulatory standards within the IBA framework
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- 2–5 years’ experience within an IBA accounts department
- Basic understanding of bureau and non-bureau processes
- Experience with bank reconciliations and payment processing
- Working knowledge of IBA accounting systems
- Familiarity with Insurance, reinsurance, Bordereaux, and open market business
- Detail-oriented with a focus on controls and compliance
- Effective communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
