New Opportunity | Specialty Development Underwriter
I’m currently working on an exciting opportunity with a growing insurance business looking to appoint a Specialty Development Underwriter.
The role will focus on developing new business, strengthening broker relationships and supporting growth across a broad commercial underwriting proposition.
The opportunity:
• Develop and manage a book of new business
• Build and strengthen relationships with key insurance brokers
• Conduct broker visits and underwriting surgeries
• Underwrite new business across the agreed appetite
• Act as a key referral point for the wider underwriting team
• Work closely with Business Development and Technical Underwriting
• Opportunity to have real influence across a growing team
We’re looking for:
• 5+ years’ commercial underwriting experience
• Strong Property and/or Casualty background
• Established broker relationships and a genuine commercial mindset
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Someone who is comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership
