My client is looking for a proactive, organised and motivated Account Handler or Broker Technician to join a FI broking team.

You will provide essential technical and administrative support, helping to manage the day-to-day servicing of client accounts and ensuring the smooth and efficient placement and administration of business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who has a strong understanding of the London insurance market, is confident working independently and can take ownership of their workload.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to anticipate the needs of brokers, taking initiative rather than waiting to be directed.

• Provide day-to-day account handling and technical support to the Financial Lines broking team.
• Support brokers with the preparation, processing and administration of new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Assist with the production and processing of market submissions, slips, endorsements and policy documentation.
• Liaise with insurers, underwriters and clients to obtain information, documentation and updates.
• Manage policy administration, including checking documentation for accuracy and ensuring records are maintained.
• Monitor renewal dates and assist brokers in ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems.
• Ensure all relevant documentation and information is uploaded and maintained within Brokasure.
• Support premium processing, invoicing and other associated account administration.
• Proactively identify outstanding tasks and follow these through to completion.
• Build strong working relationships with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Help improve processes and ensure the team operates as efficiently as possible.

• Previous experience in an insurance account handling, broking technician or technical support role.
• Experience within the London insurance market would be advantageous.
• Exposure to Financial Lines, including Professional Indemnity, D&O, Cyber or similar classes, is desirable.
• Must have experience using Brokasure.
• Strong technical and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicating with brokers, underwriters and clients.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance documentation and policy administration.
• Good IT skills and confidence working with insurance systems.
