Senior Compliance Analyst

Salary up to £80,000

Harrison Holgate are seeking a senior compliance analyst on behalf of one of the leading insurance companies in the UK and Europe.

This is a lead compliance monitor role where you will be working alongside the Head of compliance meaning you will have a very high profiled seat within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with the UK Head of Compliance, to develop the annual risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan for presentation to the relevant Board Committees
• Develop, maintain and improve the methodology for carrying out Compliance Monitoring while maintain the Internal Control Register (Compliance Policy Standards)
• Carry out Compliance Monitoring in accordance with the Monitoring Plan
• Prepare Compliance Monitoring reports, detailing (1) the assessed level of compliance and the effectiveness of controls, and (2) agreed remedial actions, owners and timescales etc – for presentation to the relevant Board Committees
• Maintain a tracker of all agreed remedial actions, and monitor / report progress
• Provide advice to management and other stakeholders re. resolving assessed non-compliance and control weaknesses

KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY

• Compliance monitoring
• Report writing and preparation of management information
• Planning skills (Compliance Plan and methodology)
• Ability to provide advice and guidance to management and other stakeholders
• Ability to work to deadlines EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE
• Knowledge of UK and EU financial services regulatory framework
• 3 + years’ experience in a UK Compliance role (general insurance / regulated environment)
• Compliance Monitoring experience essential
• Insurance / Compliance qualification desirable
