Position: Underwriting Technician
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 (DOE)
Location: City of London
Hybrid: 3 days in office - 2 days at home
Main responsibilities:
• Promptly and accurately deal with underwriting administrative tasks including processing and issuing documentation, in accordance with the “Underwriting Procedures” and the “Underwriting Standards of Performance”
• Be able to deal with enquiries or identify appropriate person in an effective and friendly manner
• Ensure files are accurately maintained, including DMS documentation
• Acquire information to assist underwriters in preparation of quotes e.g. creating “Premium
Exercises”, calculating retained premium
• Collate information for underwriters when travelling
The ideal candidate would be someone who is currently in an Insurance position (preferably in the underwriting support area - not essential). 1-2 years experience is essential.
