A widely respected Lloyd's Syndicate have a new opening for a Casualty Claims Adjuster. Responsibilities will involve handling International Casualty, Excess Casualty and Casualty Treaty claims as wells as claims from related lines of business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Handling complex claims and liaising with underwriters including updating them on claim developments and assist in the preparation and delivery of claims and management reports.
Liaising with the outwards reinsurance team so that they are aware of developments on significant claims which may impact their reinsurances.
Maintain and build on the company profile as a leader with peers, Claims Brokers and key external experts.
Manage the relationship with TPAs including providing effective oversight.
Entering of claims information into the claims management and underwriting systems.
Prepare and deliver regular claim briefings to the underwriters and the market and include claims data and case summaries.
Analyse claim submissions and draft coverage correspondence, coordinate with defense counsel, circulate internal reports, establish reserves, and negotiate and resolve claims.
Review claim and policy information and maintain comprehensive claims files.
Compile ad hoc claims reports.
Recommend case strategies, reserving analyses and report to the insurers for the respective treaty years.
Report to management and underwriting on claim trends, industry developments and emerging risks.
