Highly progressive Insurance company are currently recruiting for a Data & Process Analyst

I am searching for a talented Data engagement partner, acting as a bridge between the Data team and the rest of the business, ensuring they maximise the value of the capabilities that the Data Team have developed. This role will have a particular focus on supporting their underwriting teams and would suit someone who has experience in underwriting or underwriting operations in a specialty insurer.

A data driven Insurance company adopting a culture of small highly skilled teams building the core intellectual property while all operational needs are met with Software as a Service (SaaS) or outsourced providers. Their 3 strategic pillars are to be their customer’s favourite insurer, to achieve operational excellence and to make better decisions using data and technology. Central to all of these is industry leading management and usage of data.

They are looking for cross functional highly tenacious bright data engagement analyst with passion for data and working with cross functional teams.

Some of the key tasks may include:
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders from across business functions, understand business requirements and help them make use of existing data tools and capabilities
  • Experience of underwriting processes and decision making within a specialty insurer
  • Must be able to communicate with stakeholders effectively and keep them updated on scope, timelines, and outcomes
  • Must be able to work in a scaled agile environment involving cross functional execution teams
  • Has a passion for using Data and Technology to drive decision-making
  • Can balance multiple requirements from different teams and prioritise based on the value delivered and resources required to deliver them
  • Can co-ordinate requirements and outcomes across multiple functions within the data team (especially Data Culture, Data Architecture and Data Engineering)
  • Some knowledge of SQL is required, and knowledge of data modelling concepts and data management techniques are advantageous
  • Skills in implementing reports / analytics will be desirable
  • Knowledge of AWS and Snowflake desirable
