A global insurance business is seeking an Accountant for its UK Branch to take on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Based in London the UK Branch Accountant will assist with the internal and/or external reporting, regulatory reporting, MI, and project work for the UK branch.
This will include analysing the month end/quarter end close, completing Group reporting packs for month end and quarter end including balance sheet reconciliations with analytical review, maintaining the UK Branch accounting records in the general ledger and engagement with the project for the new general ledger expected to be implemented in January 2023, creating and maintaining the Financial Reporting process documentation, production of quarterly MI reporting, assisting with all regulatory returns for the branch, including the development of annual Solvency II (SII) reporting and assisting with the production and timely submission of quarterly VAT returns for the UK VAT Group.
Suitable applicants will have relevant financial reporting and management accounting experience gained within an insurance environment, have knowledge of UK accounting standards e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS etc. and possess strong Excel skills.
